Prof. Dongmin Chen is the Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Director of Science and Technology Development Office of Peking University, responsible for University Innovation Capacity development including corporate sponsor research, IP licensing, Spin-offs and Incubation Centers. He co-manage several Seed fund, Angel fund and VC fund. He is a faculty member in the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies of Peking University. In 2012 he has launched \u201cIntroduction to Entrepreneurship\u201d and \u201cHands on Entrepreneurship\u201d courses as elective classes for both under- and graduate-students in Peking University. More than 1000 students have enrolled in his classes so far and a dozen projects have been launched from his class. He is also a guest professor of \u201cVenture Design\u201d for Nan Yang Technical University Technopreneurship MBA program.
\nDr. Chen was an adjunct Professor of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences where he served as the co-director of the Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics from 2004 to 2009. He was a Sr. Rowland Fellow and the Head of the Nanoscale Quantum Physics Lab. at Harvard University from 1989 to 2004. His academic expertise includes nanotechnologies and advanced semiconductor process integrations, nonvolatile material and device physics, MEMS device and process, MEMS-CMOS integration; spin and quantum device physics. He co-authored more than 70 scientific publications and 150 US and international patents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Dr. Chen is a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur. He is the Chief Scientist and the inventor of the Metal Oxide Heteorjunction RRAM device of 4DS Inc. He also co-founded Miradia Inc. in 2003 which raised 80M USD from tier-1 venture capitals. He led the development of a platform technology for MEMS-CMOS 3D integration for applications in digital micro-mirror array and motion sensors. He was responsible for the development of the IP portfolio with more than 100 international patents and has successfully licensed it to a major foundry in Asia.<\/p>\n
Dr. Dongmin Chen is the International Adviser of WIPO GII.
